About Our Board of Directors

The Board establishes policies for operations and oversees strategic outcomes related to service and community responsiveness. However, the responsibility of the Board of Directors of a community mental health center is more than organizational operations alone, it includes a moral ownership of service delivery and responsibility to the community at large. In a real and legal sense, the Board is the owner of the community mental health center with all the legal and more responsibilities that go with the fact.

The Board of Directors usually meet on the third Thursday of each month, eight times per year, at 4:00 pm at the Main Center location: 12512 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612, (813) 977-8700. Currently, we are meeting on Zoom during the pandemic.

Directors serve for a term of three (3) years and each director serves on a minimum of one Board committee; committees may meet monthly, quarterly, or as agency needs require. NCBH seeks a diverse board which reflects the community in which we serve. We seek board applicants with experience and knowledge in the areas of finance, legal assistance, fundraising and technology.
